The experts at Carbonworks have spent many hours working around earthwork sites, both remediation and civil improvement sites. Decades of water treatment experience on sites in the Southeast U.S. puts us in a unique position. You would be hard-pressed to find a group with more firsthand experience!
To understand the treatment of surface or ground water, you must first understand the lithology and soil classifications of the area and the methods of extraction and pumping, filtration and treatment. If your water treatment subcontractor does not understand this, problems are sure to occur. Does he know the historical pH of your project’s surficial aquifer? Does he understand the produced rates of a well point system versus a sock line system or inductor type system? Will he be able to inform you of projects performed in the past and difficulties encountered? TOC, pH, high silt and TSS, hardness, selenium, chlorides and brackish waters are all variables that you encounter in the Southeast and all of these can have an adverse effect on treatment. These issues must be considered in the design phase of any dewatering and treatment system
The experts at Carbonworks have performed thousands of these projects, with flow rates up to 2,000 GPM removing PAHs, BTEX, VOCs, SVOCs, chlorinated compounds, metals including arsenic, pesticides, low-level nutrients and perfluorinated compounds. We can also assist with NPDES, POTW or Reinjection GCTL permits. We’re here to help!
